Class Room Theory

Classroom training is only the beginning at
Penny Miller Cosmetology Academy

Students begin in the classroom and after testing out at 150 hours, they begin the real salon training.  Working with clients on a daily
basis, they learn the ins and outs of real life in the Salon.  They perform services ranging from simple haircuts & styles,  to complicated color
correction and chemical services such as perms, texture services, highlights, skin care basics as well as advanced chemical peels and
micro-dermabrasion and nail care for both natural and artificial nails.  The Salon offers a wide variety of services, and the students get plenty
of real life, hands on experience to prepare them for employment in their newly chosen career.
We invite advanced educators into the class room to introduce our students to the latest and greatest new procedures that are
available in the beauty business.  Some of these educators include Backscratchers Nail Products,  RX Systems for Skin care, Spa Girl Skin
care, Goldwell Hair color, Matrix Hair color, R.E.I. Business Training, Small Business Training, and many others.  This gives our students the
advantage in the Business Community.
